MCINTOSH, FL (352today.com) – A fall favorite has become a victim of Hurricane Milton.

The Friends of McIntosh announced on Facebook that the McIntosh 1890s Festival, originally scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 12, has been canceled.

Organizers cited “many hurricane-related logistics” as the reason for the cancellation, making it impossible to hold the event this year. Despite their disappointment, the festival will not be rescheduled, with organizers adding, “We look forward to a safe and calm 1890s Festival in 2025.”

This is one of the rare occasions in the festival’s history when it has been canceled, including the cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19.
