MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com)—Dr. Diane Gullett, Superintendent of Marion County Public Schools, has announced that she will step down at the end of the school year.
Gullett confirmed her resignation in a letter sent to members of the MCPS school board.

“I am writing to formally resign my position as Superintendent of Schools for Marion County Public Schools,” writes Dr. Gullett. “Throughout my tenure, I have been truly blessed to work alongside dedicated educators, staff, students, and families… Thank you again for the opportunity to serve. I wish you continued success in your efforts to provide the best education for our students.”
Gullett was unanimously appointed Superintendent of Schools in the Spring of 2020. In the letter, she confirms that her resignation will take effect on July 11, 2025.
