MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE, 12:35 p.m.: The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says 73-year-old Loraine Snyder was found dead Thursday morning.

Deputies say she was found about 100 yards from her home and no foul play is suspected.

In an unrelated case, April Adkins is still missing.

ORIGINAL, 5:28 a.m.: The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) issued alerts about two missing and endangered women on Thursday. The cases are unrelated.

Missing: April Adkins
MCSO says 37-year-old April Nicole Adkins was reported missing on February 21, 2024. Her family told deputies they last had contact with her in late November 2023.

Deputies say April was last known to be living at 13785 SE Highway 464C in Ocklawaha. They say the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are suspicious. That’s why April’s family and law enforcement are concerned for her safety.

Missing: Loraine Snyder

Meantime, deputies are also investigating the disappearance of 73-year-old Loraine Dawn Snyder.

They say she was last seen leaving her home at 2891 SW 168th Ave. in Ocala on March 19, 2024, around 8 p.m.

Deputies say Snyder left her home after missing a required court date and made several statements that have caused concern for her well-being.
