OCALA, FL – (352today.com) On a rainy windy weekend it was the perfect time to transport yourself into the magical world of model railroads in a true Ocala holiday tradition. The Trains at the Holidays exhibition is now open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Dec. 29, with the exception of Christmas Day, Dec. 25. On Christmas Eve, the exhibit will be open noon to 3 p.m.
You’ll find the display at the CF Webber Gallery which is located at 3001 SW College Rd. in Ocala. The exhibit is free to see but donations are accepted.

The exhibit features model trains by the Ocala Model Railroaders’ Historic Preservation Society. They say it is a family favorite with moving train displays featuring holiday themes and local landmarks.

“The CF express has been chugging along for 27 years,” said Jim DeLawter, president of the model railroad organization. “The Ocala holiday tradition is a fun time for all ages.”
“They add to it every year and it’s always bigger and better!” said Jacqueline Bozman, gallery coordinator at the college.
One fun thing to do with the kids is to find different objects in the displays and check them off the list they provide as a ‘scavenger hunt.’
