LECANTO, FL (352today.com) – This month, Citrus County Growth Management will be considering a variety of new land development permits, ranging from storefronts to housing to churches to RV parks.
In Beverly Hills, a 1,642-acre development, Tuscany Ranch, has been proposed. It would include 275,000 square feet of commercial space as well as 1,000 multi-family housing units and over 6,000 single-family housing units. Also in Beverly Hills, a new adult living care facility has been approved and may be amended to include a medical clinic. An Advance Auto Parts store is coming to North Lecanto Hwy (CR-491).
In Crystal River, an indoor shooting range has been approved. Sunshine RV Campground will receive a second hearing from the Board of County Commissioners regarding its proposition for dozens of new RV sites, campsites and “glampsites.” Over 5 acres will be reconsidered for duplex development.
In Dunnellon, a 23-unit townhome building has been requested by Confluence Crossing for construction along US-41. This site was approved for development in 2022 but was never picked up.
In Homosassa, nearly a hundred more RV lots are likely coming next to Bell Villa Mobile Home Park. Additionally, 122,000 square feet of commercial space and a total of over one thousand apartments, houses and hotel rooms have been proposed on West Cardinal Street.
In Inverness, development on the Inverness Airport Business Park is already underway. Several local churches and gas stations will also receive remodels.
In Lecanto, applications have been filed to begin the first phase of construction on Crystal Ridge, a site that would accommodate 236 single-family residential lots across over 50 acres. Amber Ridge West is another proposed housing development which would contain 382 residential sites. Several warehouse and storage facilities have also been proposed.
Citrus County Growth Management recently gained a new Building Official. They will be hosting two meet-and-greet events this month for contractors, business owners, builders and interested citizens.
