OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Traffic came to a halt in front of the Walmart on E. Silver Springs Blvd. on Wednesday during lunch hour.

Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) reports that first responders were dispatched to the intersection of E. Silver Springs Blvd. and NE 49th Court Rd. at around 12:48 p.m.  When they arrived, they say they found a heavily damaged motorcycle and a “conscious, alert motorcyclist” on the ground.

OFR says westbound lanes were briefly blocked while first responders tended to the motorcyclist who was later taken to the hospital as a trauma alert.  They reported no other injuries.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue were also on the scene to assist.  No other information is available at this time.
