OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Long-awaited food hall The Forge has officially entered its soft opening, bringing multiple dining concepts to Midtown Ocala while additional businesses continue to prepare for their debut.
Located at 343 NE First Ave., The Forge is currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The food and entertainment destination occupies the former WMOP property, a nearly 3-acre site that has been redeveloped into a gathering place featuring multiple restaurants, bars and community event space.
Businesses currently serving guests include Ignite, an Asian fusion restaurant; The Blind Eye, a speakeasy-style bar; The Hammock, which serves Mediterranean-inspired tapas; Parting Lines Pizza; Just Desserts; and Alloy Kitchen. Management said additional concepts are planned in the coming weeks, including a Colombian coffee shop and a healthy bowl restaurant, with the on-site brewery expected to open in October.
The Forge has promoted itself as Ocala’s newest destination for food, drinks and community events following the completion of the property’s transformation.
A grand opening date has not yet been announced.
