ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Several fire rescue crews responded to a house fire Tuesday evening.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 15, Micanopy Fire Department, Cross Creek Fire Department, Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) and Windsor Fire Department responded to a home engulfed in flames.

Occupants of the home were present when the fire started but were able to escape the home safely. One pet has not yet been found.
According to ACFR, no fire hydrants were in the area of the home. It took firefighters about an hour to put out the fire.
According to fire crews, the home is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The Red Cross is helping the family with their immediate needs.
