MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Office of the County Engineer has announced it will be closing NE 199th Street Road for “major roadway/drainage repairs” beginning Monday, July 27, 2026.

“No traffic of any kind will be allowed through once operations start Monday, July 27th,” read the announcement. “Operations are planned to take the entire week, possibly longer given considerations for weather or unforeseen impacts.

“Crews and equipment will be on site at 8:00 a.m.

Motorists are advised to use a detour that includes CR 315 and Spring Street.
