GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The 2023 Gator home football season kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 9, with a game against the McNeese State University Cowboys, and the Swamp is unveiling a convenient new concession store just in time.

The University of Florida (UF)’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium partnered with concessionaire Sodexo Live to build a 4,000-square-foot shop, cleverly-named Grab “N” Go Gators. It will offer a line-up of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as limited hot food and assorted candies and snacks.

But you can only buy a treat if you have a card: The store is cashless, and its 12 points of sale only take electronic payment.

Deputy Athletic Director Chip Howard expressed his excitement about the brand-new store.

“The construction of the Grab ‘N’ Go Gators stand at Gate 18 will provide fans with the latest technology for a quick service opportunity for food and drinks to allow them to return to the action quickly,” said Howard.

Grab “N” Go Gators has been under construction for two months and will finally debut this Saturday. It’s taking the place of the former South End Zone Gator Sport Shop, right next to Gate 18.

There are still plenty of places to get Gator gameday merch, though. There is a walk-up Gator Sport Shop right outside the new concession store, and the North End Zone Gator Sport Shop is located outside Gate 9. The main Gator Sport Shop is also on the north end of the stadium. It’s open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as on gamedays. After home football games, it’s open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
