EUSTIS, FL (352today.com) – According to a report by the Eustis Police, a passerby reported an individual hanging from a tree in the area of State Road 19A and the U.S. HWY 441 overpass on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:18 p.m. and located the individual suspended from a tree by a thin length of rope. The individual had been there for several hours and was beyond lifesaving measures. Lake County Crime Scene Investigations was dispatched to the site for processing, and the body reportedly was or will be turned over directly to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
While the investigation is ongoing, Eustis Police detectives have as yet found no evidence of foul play.
