OCALA, FL (352today.com) – North Central Florida Media, the Ocala media/marketing/broadcasting company that owns popular 352 FM radio stations 97.3 K-Country and WIND-FM 92.5/95.5 as well as this here hyperlocal news outlet, announced a retirement, a promotion and a new hire this week.
Former Director of Sales Lisa Varner, who has more than 26 years of experience in marketing communications in the Ocala/Marion area and has been with NCFM for nearly a decade, succeeded retiring President/GM Howard Tuuri on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Tuuri, a broadcasting veteran who worked for Cox Media Group among others and has been with NCFM since its inception, retired the same day.
Tonya Asher, another industry pro with longtime ties to the region who most recently worked as sales manager and new business development and training manager for WCJB TV20, is NCFM’s new director of sales.
“Lisa’s attention to detail and ability to multitask while managing events and an account list has been remarkable,” said Tuuri in a statement. “Her business acumen and dedication to excellence makes moving into an executive management role a logical next step in her career. And Tonya’s talent and experience is a perfect fit for the extraordinarily important director of sales position. The future is bright for North Central Florida Media.”
