OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) swiftly responded to a vehicle fire on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at approximately 12:38 p.m. in the 4300 block of NW 11th Street. The fire, which posed a threat to nearby vegetation, prompted a multi-unit response.
Upon arrival, crews found a front-end loader engulfed in heavy smoke emanating from its engine compartment. Firefighters immediately initiated suppression efforts while another team secured a water source to sustain operations.


After successfully extinguishing the blaze, responders turned their attention to a secondary hazard – a leaking diesel tank on the heavy machinery. Approximately 45 gallons of fuel were contained using a deployment pool, and officials promptly notified the state warning point to mitigate environmental risks.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
