According to Brady Rome, U-Haul Company of Gainesville president, two key factors are driving the surge in migration to Ocala:

- Job Market: The city’s job market is booming, with growth in manufacturing, healthcare, and equestrian industries.
“Ocala’s reputation as the ‘Horse Capital of the World’ also draws equestrian enthusiasts and professionals,” says Rome.
Florida Dominates Growth Rankings
Ocala’s top spot is part of a broader trend for Florida, which boasts five cities in the top 25 U-Haul Growth Cities, including Lakeland, Palm Bay, and Daytona Beach.

The Sunshine State also claimed seven spots in the top 25 growth metros, with Lakeland, Tampa, and Fort Myers leading the way.
