Upon arrival, Detective Thomas from the Ocala Police Department (OPD) determined there was probable cause to arrest Hawkins for indecent, lewd or lascivious touching of a minor, false imprisonment, and open carry of a firearm. Hawkins was booked into the Marion County Jail.

OPD says that Hawkins, a youth sports coach and part-owner of an Ocala business focused on childrenโ€™s entertainment and sports, has raised concerns among authorities due to his access to children. โ€œWe take these allegations very seriously and are fully committed to protecting our community, especially our children,โ€ OPD said in a statement. They urged anyone with information or similar experiences involving Hawkins to contact law enforcement.

The investigation remains ongoing.
