OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) has expressed gratitude for Lieutenant Michelle Green’s nearly 26 years of remarkable service.

Green, who joined the department in 1999, built a distinguished career marked by dedication, leadership, and community impact.

Green’s service began in patrol and the K9 unit, where she spent 10 years partnered with her K9, Motuck, affectionately known as Tazzy. In 2015, she was promoted to sergeant, supervising patrol, the K9 unit, the directed patrol unit, field training, and the Office of Professional Standards.

Her commitment to excellence led to her promotion to lieutenant in 2020, where she served as a watch commander and oversaw the Technical Services Section.

Throughout her career, Green earned numerous awards and commendations, underscoring her contributions to the department and the Ocala community. “We are truly grateful for Michelle’s commitment to keeping Ocala safe and her positive impact on our community,” OPD shared in a Facebook post. “Congratulations, Michelle!
