OCALA, FL (352today.com) – An Ocala Police Department (OPD) officer found himself on the other side of the law and has now lost his badge.

On Wednesday, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 27-year-old OPD officer Natawi Chin. He was charged with aggravated stalking and fired from the police force the same day.

According to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Chin sent an audio message to his former girlfriend threatening to ‘shoot up her residence.’

The victim told MCSO deputies that she and Chin met through mutual friends. After dating for a little over the year, they broke up and the victim told deputies he was verbally aggressive towards her.

According to the arrest report, Chin drove by the victim’s home a couple of times and noticed another car at her home. He allegedly parked and began to call the victim and knocked on her window.

A witness also told deputies that Chin would call the victim often about cars being at her home. The witness also stated that at times, he got out of his vehicle and would stand at the victim’s door or window and listen.

According to the arrest report, Chin sent a nine second audio recording via text to the victim which said, “I WAS GONNA TEXT
THIS TO YOU BUT THEN YOU COULD GET ME ARRESTED FOR WRITTEN THREATS. I WILL SHOOT YOUR (expletive deleted) UP, KEEP PLAYING.”

Chin also stated in a voice message that he didn’t want to send in writing because it would be a ‘written threat.’ The arrest report states that he claimed he would ‘shoot up the house if he saw another guy there’.
