OCALA, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE, 7/9/2024: The reward for information in a deadly shooting has been increased.

The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is hoping the increased reward will generate credible tips as to who killed 31-year-old Faye Porter.

The reward for tips leading to an arrest has now been upped to $5,000.

ORIGINAL, 7/3/2024: The Ocala Police Department (OPD) has identified the woman killed in a weekend shooting.

OPD says 31-year-old Faye Porter died Saturday, June 29, around 10:30 p.m.

The shooting took place in the 1500 block of NW 20th Ave.

In a Facebook post, police say they “need information” from the public to help them find who’s responsible for the shooting death.

If anyone has information, they say you can submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Marion County by calling 352-368-STOP (7867) or **TIPS on your cell phone. Tips can also be submitted online. Information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
