OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala Engineering Department, in collaboration with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., will host a public input meeting to discuss the city’s ongoing flooding vulnerability assessment.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, located at 1821 NW 21st Ave.

The flooding vulnerability assessment is designed to identify risks posed by storm-related flooding and evaluate its effects on Ocala’s critical and historical infrastructure. City representatives will present potential scenarios of rainfall-induced flooding, analyze its impact on city assets, and highlight areas most susceptible to these risks.
Residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on proposed strategies to mitigate flood risks and enhance Ocala’s resiliency against future storm events.
