OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala will celebrate nature, conservation and community later this month as Earthfest returns to Tuscawilla Park for its annual Arbor Day event.

Scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the free, family-friendly festival invites residents to enjoy a morning of outdoor activities, environmental education and live entertainment in one of the city’s most scenic parks.

Hosted by the City of Ocala, Earthfest highlights sustainability and the importance of protecting natural resources while offering hands-on experiences for all ages. Organizers describe the event as a celebration of Arbor Day with “a full day of fun for the whole family.”

This year’s festivities will include tree giveaways, eco-friendly vendors, live music and a variety of outdoor activities such as rock wall scaling and tree climbing. Food trucks and local organizations will also be on site, providing both refreshments and educational opportunities focused on conservation and environmental awareness.

A highlight of the event is the popular Youth Fishing Derby at Lake Tuscawilla, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon. Open to children ages 14 and under, the catch-and-release competition awards prizes for both the largest catch and the most fish caught across multiple age groups. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, though limited supplies will be available on-site.

In addition to recreational activities, Earthfest emphasizes environmental stewardship through interactive exhibits and opportunities to connect with local conservation groups. The event aims to educate attendees on sustainable practices while fostering a deeper appreciation for Ocala’s natural environment.

Admission is free and open to the public. Event organizers encourage attendees to arrive early and take advantage of the variety of activities offered throughout the morning.
