OCALA, FL (352today.com) – One person is dead after a crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 75 northbound in Ocala Wednesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says a 27-year-old woman from Ocala died when the car she was driving hit the backend of a tractor trailer that was pulled over on the left shoulder. Troopers say the big rig was parked due to being involved in an earlier crash.

According to Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR), the crash caused traffic to be backed up over 10 miles from mile marker 357, just south of the SR  326 exit.
