OCALA, FL. (352today) – As the holiday giving spirit continues, Ocala’s Revo Church, will be holding an event this weekend, “For the City,” that will serve as both a food and resource distribution and an exercise in positive community engagement. In collaboration with the Convoy of Hope, they will be hosting this outreach event to help those who may be struggling this holiday season.
The “For the City” community event will offer:
- An on-site meal
- Community resources
- Health screenings
- Groceries
- Children’s shoes will be given to the children who are present
This event will serve the community on a first come, first served basis. It is expected that hundreds of people may attend. The event begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15th at Revo Church, located at 3140 SW 26th St. in Ocala.
