Ocala, FL (352today.com) – Clear Choice Academies, Inc. cut the ribbon on its newest charter school, Ocali Charter High School (OCHS), on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The new school aims to provide students from grades six through 12 with a “clear and unparalleled academic choice dedicated to nurturing future leaders by focusing on cultivating a community-driven ethos, fostering leadership qualities, promoting empowerment, emphasizing accountability, and nurturing a culture of respect,” according to its press release.
“We are so proud to have created a traditional model high school where everyone knows your name and where students are actively engaged in their education,” said Executive Director Teecy Matthews. “This is a place firmly committed to building a brighter future for today’s generation.”
The new facility was constructed in partnership with the nonprofit foundation Building Hope. It features space for project-based learning and an Online Business Incubator (OBI) program, where students will learn the fundamentals of launching an online business by the time they graduate.
Officials say the school plans to grow to 220 students over the next three years with current enrollment totals at 75 freshmen and sophomores. There are currently 30 additional seats open for prospective students.
Interested families are invited to attend one of the upcoming expos on November 2 and January 8 at 6 p.m.
Details and enrollment applications are available online.
