OCALA, FL (352today.com) – More roadwork is coming to a North Central Florida road near you.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) says to expect intermittent overnight traffic slowdowns on northbound Interstate 75 (I-75) north of the SW 66th Street overpass and southbound I-75 south of County Road (CR) 318 in Marion County. These slowdowns will begin as early as 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.

To facilitate the removal of overhead wires at State Road (S.) 326 by Duke Energy, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers will temporarily reduce traffic speed to 20 mph in both directions. Once the work is finished, normal traffic flow will resume.

In addition, FHP troopers will briefly stop traffic for about 10 to 15 minutes at various on ramps, including the SR 326 on ramp to southbound I-75, US 27 on ramp to northbound I-75, SR 40 on ramp to northbound I-75, and the SR 200 on ramp to northbound I-75.  FHP says that drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while driving through the impacted areas.
