SILVER SPRINGS, FL (352today.com) – Fire crews with Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded to a large mobile home fire early Monday morning in Silver Springs.
Just after 1 a.m. on May 19, MCFR says that dispatch received a 911 call reporting flames coming from a neighbor’s kitchen in the 5600 block of NE 165th Terrace Road. When crews arrived minutes later, they found the home already 75% engulfed in flames.

Firefighters launched an aggressive attack, using multiple hose lines to knock back the blaze. Additional crews from surrounding stations arrived to assist, working together to bring the fire under control by 1:53 a.m.
The residents were able to escape the home on their own, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
