MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) is hosting a free event to highlight local magnet schools and all things academically available to students, parents, and families.

The annual School Choice and Community Resource Expo will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the World Equestrian Center (WEC). It will be inside of Expo Center 2, located on the backside of the WEC.

“The goal is to provide families with an experience to learn about school choice options and direct links to district and community resources,” said MCPS in a press release.

MCPS offers several programs at elementary, middle, and high schools to allow students to broaden their horizons and expand their skills. Click here to view all of the options.  Community resource partners will also be present at the expo to answer any questions you may have.

Students will be able to apply for school choice, magnet, and Career Academy options starting on Thursday, Nov. 9. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 31, 2024.
