OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It looked and felt a bit like Key West in downtown Ocala on Sunday.
Margaritas, music and multi-colored clothing filled Broadway Street for the Escape to Margaritaville Block Party.
The Ocala Civic Theatre (OCT) organized the event as a kickoff to the run of the musical of the same name. It was designed to bring together Jimmy Buffett fans and create a chill, island vibe.

The crowd sang along with the cast of the musical and to tunes performed by Buffett tribute band Gary Roland and The Landsharks.
The musical, which features songs from Buffett’s discography, opens May 2 and runs through May 19 at OCT. Ticket prices start at $15 and can be purchased here.
