MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 21-year-old Fort McCoy man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on County Road 315 near State Road 40 in Marion County on Saturday.
According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was traveling southwest on CR 315 at around 11:25 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, when it crossed into the opposite late and struck a pickup truck traveling northwest.
Both vehicles spun out in the collision and came to rest partially in the northbound lane.
Both drivers were transported to HCA Florida Ocala hospital with injuries ranging from serious to critical. The passenger in the pickup truck, the only other occupant of either vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the FHP report, he had not been wearing a seatbelt.
