OCALA, FL (352Today.com) – A man is reportedly in critical condition after shooting himself in his room at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.
According to multiple reports, the Ocala Police Department has confirmed that a patient at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital tried to kill himself with a handgun while alone in his room on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. Members of the OPD responded to a call about shots being fired around noon on Friday.
No other patients or hospital staff were injured. The investigation is ongoing.
