ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A female pedestrian was reportedly walking in the southbound center lane of southbound I-75 in Alachua County when she was struck and killed by an SUV just after midnight on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026.
According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman of undisclosed age was walking in the center lane of southbound I-75 near Mile Marker 374 when she was struck by a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Miami resident.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. At press time, no reason has been given as to why she was in the middle of the interstate.
Neither the SUV’s driver nor the two passengers in the vehicle was injured in the collision.
