FORT MCCOY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) extricated a driver from a car following a wreck on Sunday evening.
MCFR says the accident happened at the 13000 block of NE Highway 315 in Fort McCoy.
They say they were dispatched to the accident around 5:33 p.m. after multiple reports from 9-1-1 callers.
Units with MCFR say they arrived on the scene a few minutes later to an accident involving two vehicles. They say one person was in each car.
MCFR says one of the drivers was stuck inside the vehicle and required an extrication. They managed to remove the roof and get the driver out at about 6:12 p.m.
MCFR identified the driver as a trauma-alert case and took them to a nearby hospital. The driver’s condition is not known at this time.
Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
