MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) wanted to give the leaders in the community a taste of what they accomplish on a daily basis.

What better way to do that than host an experience day that showcases the different types of challenges they tackle in a subdued, safe environment?

From life-saving techniques, search and rescue, tower climbs, and even putting out fires, members from Leadership Ocala Marion (LOM) got what they asked for – and then some.

The members were even able to get their hands dirty and learn hands-on, in the safety of fellow rescuers, how lifesaving procedures are done.

“It was an amazing opportunity to show these leaders in our community what our dedicated Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMTs do every day to keep our community safe,” wrote MCFR on Facebook.

MCFR furthermore thanked the LOM class for their “enthusiasm” and “willingness to learn,” as well as the teamwork they showed working alongside MCFR and Ocala Fire Rescue, who were also in attendance.

“We’re proud to work side by side with such incredible organizations, and we can’t wait to continue supporting our community in every way possible,” wrote MCFR.
