OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Police Department (OPD) has arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery at Paddock Mall’s Ocala Jewelers that occurred Tuesday evening.
Danny Anzardo, 45, was taken into custody Wednesday after allegedly stealing jewelry valued at $13,100 from the store located at 3100 SW College Road. According to police reports, Anzardo entered the store around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday and threatened an employee while implying he was armed. The stolen merchandise included gold chains and a diamond ring set.
Multiple officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:25 p.m. Through their investigation, police identified Anzardo as the suspect and located him at his workplace the following day. A search of his vehicle led to the recovery of some of the stolen jewelry.
Anzardo is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on multiple charges including:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Grand theft
- Dealing in stolen property
The investigation remains ongoing.

“It was an armed robbery at Ocala Jewelers,” says Ocala Police Public Information Officer, Jeff Walczak. “No one is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.”
