OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Utilities has issued a precautionary boil water notice for customers within the Golden Holiday Mobile Home Park community, effective at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, due to scheduled water main maintenance.

Residents in the affected area are advised to bring water intended for consumption to a rapid boil for at least one minute before use. As an alternative, bottled water may be used for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth.

Water used for bathing, showering, and laundry does not need to be boiled, officials said.

Marion County Utilities will conduct water testing in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection regulations and will notify affected customers when the precautionary notice is lifted.
