OCALA FL. (352Today) – Meet Wilbur, who has gone from roaming Silver Springs, to embracing a new beginning at Marion County Animal Services. This small but mighty pup has overcome hardships with a wagging tail and a heart full of hope for a forever home.
Wilbur is a 5-year-old, white and tri-colored dog, who one month ago, was brought into MCAS by a caring citizen who saw him living on the streets of Silver Springs.
Wilbur has a very social personality that leaves a friendly first impression everywhere he goes. He plays great with other dogs and has a gentle and dainty playstyle. Wilbur’s semi translucent white fur reveals his charismatic freckles underneath. Along with all his great qualities, he walks well on a leash and is a calm car rider. He is very treat and toy motivated but handles both with care.
His quiet curiosity and short, hefty stature allude to Wilbur having some basset hound and beagle in his DNA. The caring staff at MCAS lovingly nicknamed him a “low rider” due to his short stature. Although his breed may be uncertain, Wilbur is certainly 45 pounds full of love. His lack of shedding and exercise requirements make him a very low maintenance pup overall.

Wilbur is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go to his forever home. His quiet, low maintenance lifestyle makes him perfect for any home. Meet Wilbur today at the Marion County Animal Services and check out their other adoptable pets.
