Kaia has been staying at MCAS since early March, after a kind citizen scooped her off the Bellview streets. She had already been microchipped, and after further investigation, it was revealed that the information on it was outdated. Despite her unfortunate circumstances, Kaia has persevered with a happy attitude and a hope to someday have a loving family to call her own.
Kaia leaves a loving first impression with her gentle nature and her desire to play. Her expressive eyes and eye-catching, Yoda-like ears make her incredibly endearing. Kaia is on the short, hefty side; however, don’t let her solid appearance fool you–she is as calm as can be.
Among all Kaia’s sweet qualities, her playfulness is the cherry on top. Kaia does not discriminate against any toy, but she especially loves chewing on tennis balls. She loves to roll the ball back and forth with you and catch it when you throw it. Her playstyle can be best described as medium where she likes to play tug-of-war with you and will lay down to take play breaks. Her lazy nature comes out best by being stubborn to stand up to fetch her ball, she just drags herself within reach.
Kaia’s ideal home would be a place where she can relax and play without the stress of the shelter environment. She can play well with other dogs but can be selective and assertive at times. She can also be a little strong on a leash, but not in an aggressive way. A home that matches her couch potato side with sparks of playful energy will be her perfect fit.
