OCALA, FL (352today) – Meet the sun’s biggest rival, Larry. Although he is not as big as the sun, his cuteness sure is mighty. Larry is anxiously awaiting to find his forever home at the Humane Society of Marion County.
This ecstatic ball of sunshine easily steals hearts with his smile and goofy personality. The HSMC staff endearingly call Larry a “Teacup Shepherd.” His appearance is similar to that of a German Shepard in a 35-pound package. The staff at HSMC believe that at nine months old he is almost fully grown.
Larry is a pup full of energy, and he can also entertain himself. He will happily play fetch with you or squeak his toy to his hearts content. Like most puppies, he has wild, zoomie fueled, energy that crashes as soon as hes fatigued. Once he’s gotten all his play out, he will joyfully sit next to you for some pets and chest scratches. Larry is full of love as he is full of energy. His love and kisses are for everyone he meets.
Larry arrived at the Humane Society of Marion County after a kind citizen brought him in after being found as a stray. When he first arrived, he was treated for a respiratory infection and a broken tail. Since then, he has fully healed and has a kink in his tail for even more character.
The ideal home for Larry will be one with lots of playtime and love to give. He is also vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready to go home for the holidays. You can meet Larry and all the other adoptable pets at the Humane Society of Marion County from Monday to Saturday 10-6 at 701 NW 14th Road in Ocala.

On Dec. 12 from 5-8 p.m., HSMC presents their annual Santa Paws at Citizen Circle. To stay up-to-date on Santa Paws and all things Humane Society of Marion County on their Facebook page.
