SILVER SPRINGS, FL (352today.com) – Fire crews from Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded Tuesday morning to a structure fire at a quadraplex on NE 35th Street in Silver Springs.
Just before 9:40 a.m., MCFR says that 911 callers reported smoke coming from the roof area of the multi-unit residence. Firefighters arrived to find light smoke showing and quickly located a small fire in a bathroom.
Crews from nearby stations, including Rolling Greens, assisted in extinguishing the fire and checked the structure to ensure the flames had not spread.
The fire was contained quickly, with no injuries to residents or responders. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
