ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – As Christmas approaches, Santa’s schedule is jam-packed with scheduled appearances in the 352. He and his better half have found a blank line on their December dance card, however, and they’re filling it with an appearance in Gainesville this Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
The Clauses will drop by the Alachua County headquarters of The Arc, a nonprofit dedicated to providing aid to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, from noon until 1 p.m. at the end of the workweek. They’ll be the guests of honor at a luncheon to honor all of The Arc’s clients, donors and employees with food, fun and photos.
“This is going to be a fun, festive event,” said Lynda Knight, vice president of The Arc of Alachua County’s board of directors, in a statement. “Mr. & Mrs. Claus will make a surprise visit as our loved ones celebrate the holidays with a luncheon on Friday, December 12th from noon to 1 p.m. Santa will be available to hear special wishes and take photos with our clients. It’s gonna be a blast!”
In addition to fellowship and holiday festivities, each local Arc client will receive a special gift from Mr. and Mrs. Kringle.
The Arc of Alachua County is located at 3303 NW 83rd Street in Gainesville, across the street from the main campus of Santa Fe College.
