OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence will be holding a creative and interactive event to help raise awareness of and funds for the cause in downtown Ocala on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025.
CASA Marion, established in 2024 to extend certified domestic violence services in the county, is hosting the first-ever Scavenger Hunt for a Cause, a citywide scavenger hunt in which teams of two to 10 players will solve clues to find local elements and businesses to “collect” in photos. The search kicks off at Citizen’s Circle at noon, and wraps up with an awards ceremony and after-party at Midtown Station at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraising teams, top scoring teams, and best costumes.
All proceeds from entry fees “benefit CASA Marion’s life-saving programs, including advocacy, prevention, outreach, and emergency assistance including a 24-hour hotline and shelter,” according to an announcement.
“Every dollar raised helps us meet survivors where they are, with safety, compassion, and hope,” said Lariana Forsythe, CASA Marion CEO. “We can’t wait to see the community rally around this cause.”
Players can register, for $35 per person, at this link, and those who sign up before the end of October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) can save 25 percent by entering the code DVAM.
