SUMTER COUNTY, FL (352today) – The commute to work may look a bit different starting this week for some Sumter County drivers.
Commuters who routinely make their sojourn on County Road (CR) 470 between Bexley Trail and the Florida Turnpike will have to alter their routine.
The change in traffic pattern may begin Wednesday or Thursday, and that will be contingent on the weather, according to Shailesh Patel, Sumter County public works department.
What adjustments will you have to make in order to arrive in a timely manner to their destination?
- Eastbound: Those traveling eastbound will be required to travel along Central Parkway east of Bexley Trail to access eastbound CR 470.
- Westbound: And for those traveling in the opposite direction, you’ll be required to turn off CR 470 just west of the Turnpike where you’ll approach a roundabout. Take the third exit to continue traveling westbound along Central Parkway toward Bexley Trail.
