ContributedMCASMeet this week's pets available for adoption from Marion County Animal Services - Trixie, Cry Baby, and Koda.
OCALA, FL (352today.com) – As we crawl closer to summer, the lovable pets at Marion County Animal Services (MCAS) are looking for cool new homes to ride out the Florida heat in. These animals include dogs trained through the FIDO Project, which has a class preparing for graduation at the end of the month.
These dogs have been trained in basic obedience by select inmates at the Marion Correctional Institution. You can meet the dogs and learn about their training progress this Saturday, May 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mojo’s Grill located at 4620 E. Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.
In addition to the FIDO Project graduating class, MCAS currently has over 160 adoptable animals. These pets of the week are just some of the sweet faces hoping to become a part of your family:
Four-year-old Trixie is looking for some summertime fun. This beauty would be a nice companion for someone who’d like to have a buddy to make life a little more rewarding. Don’t underestimate the power of a good shadow. Courtesy: MCASCry Baby has a lot to say. He’s just one of those chatty cats who doesn’t mind answering your questions. At only four years old, his wisdom is only growing. You should take him home now, so you’ll always have a friend who wants to talk when you do. These are busy, constantly moving, attention seeking, high-energy dogs. They need an active lifestyle; dog sports, runs, games, puzzles, anything to keep them busy. If you understand them and can meet their needs, we’d like to talk to you about our boy, Koda. He deserves a good home, one who will be committed to him for the rest of his fuzzy, fun life.
