National Weather Service warns of gusty winds, downed tree limbs, and unsecured objects as storm tracks southeast through Belleview, Lake Weir, and Silver Springs Shores.
MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A strong thunderstorm is moving through southeastern Marion County this evening, bringing wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.
As of 5:18 p.m., the National Weather Service says the storm was over Ocala and moving southeast at about 15 mph. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around loose outdoor items.
Areas that may be impacted include:
- Ocala
- Belleview
- Silver Springs Shores
- Weirsdale
- Lake Weir
- Lynne
- Santos
- Ocklawaha
- Moss Bluff
- The Village of Briar Meadow
What to do: If you’re outside, head indoors until the storm passes.
