OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Looking for a fun, active, and affordable way to keep your kids busy this summer? The Silver Springs Shores Community & Youth Center has you covered with two day camps designed for children ages 9 to 15 — and they include meals, extended care, and everything your child needs to jump in and start learning.
Summer Fishing Camp
- When: June 2–6, 8 AM–5 PM (care from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m.)
- Cost: $150 members | $175 non-members
- Where: Silver Springs Shores Community & Youth Center
Kids will learn fishing skills, boating safety, and fish conservation—then celebrate their new talents with a fish fry on Friday. Rod, reel, tackle, hot lunch, and supervision included.
Axes & Arrows Archery Camp
- When: June 16–20, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. (before/after-care available)
- Cost: $100 members | $125 non-members
Campers will explore the basics of archery, take on fun challenges, and even try crossbows. Hot lunch and all gear included.
