SUMTER COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is asking for your help locating a man they say is missing and could possibly be in danger.

SCSO says they received a report on Sunday, March 10, that 24-year-old Adrian Garcia was missing.

Authorities say he was last known to be at the Pilot Truck Stop located at 493 East State Road 44 in Wildwood. They say he entered the gas station around noon, and then wandered around the store, and afterwards, asked to use their phone.

The sheriff’s office says Garcia called his family and made concerning statements of “violence which included self-harm.”

“Due to these statements, we ask that if you see Mr. Garcia, do not approach him, but please contact law enforcement,” shared SCSO in a Facebook post.

Authorities say he has brown hair, blue eyes, a brown beard, and is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. The sheriff’s office says Garcia also has no tattoos or any identifying scars or marks.

They say he was last known to be driving a 2014 black Chevrolet Camaro with Florida tag #PGAI39. His family told authorities they believe he is headed to Miami. The family also shared that Garcia does not have a cell phone and has “limited cash in his account.”

If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 352-793-2621
