OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Put the Folgers back in the cupboard. Cancel that order of Nespresso pods. You can get your caffeine kick from three new coffee shops in the Ocala metro instead.
Kevin Sheilley, President/CEO of the Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership (CEP), shared the details on when we can expect these additions to fuel our mornings.
The newest addition comes just north of downtown Ocala, at Midtown Station in Tuscawilla Park. Sipping Grounds joined this food hall earlier in September. Locals might already be familiar with the brand as the downtown market’s coffee provider. The midtown location offers a similar menu to the downtown location with some additional food items. Sipping Grounds is open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sip and snack.
Brown Dog Coffeehouse will be the next location to open its doors. The shop is located in downtown Ocala on Southwest 1st Street, in between La Cuisine and District Bar & Kitchen. The café will be the perfect place to “sit and stay” while guests enjoy a cup of coffee or a scoop of gelato. Brown Dog Coffeehouse is expected to open in September.
The third coffee joint coming soon is one most people are already very familiar with: Starbucks. Belleview will welcome the 10th addition of this chain in the Ocala metro in spring of 2025. This Starbucks location is being built on Highway 441, making the central location easily accessible for residents.
