CITRUS COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Citrus County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people from Marion County after they allegedly attempted to rob two others during the sale of guns.

According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), 20-year-old Savion Harris and a 15-year-old were driven to a home in Crystal River on July 28 to purchase guns. Deputies say that during the sale, the teen suspect pulled a gun from his pants and stated, “This is a stick-up.”

Deputies say one of the victims then pulled out a gun and ordered the suspect to drop his gun. That’s when deputies say the teenager shot one of the victims in the hip and the victim returned fire.

According to CCSO, grabbed several of the victim’s guns and took off.

The victim then shot at the suspects as they were running away, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies located both suspects and one was transported to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.

“Selling items, especially firearms can be dangerous. During private sales, you come into direct contact with complete strangers – of whom you have no knowledge of their character or moral fibers,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast.

Harris was arrested and charged with armed robbery. The second suspect was charged with attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery. He is being held without bond at the Department of Juvenile Justice.
