LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – The Town of Lady Lake will produce a free presentation on cybersecurity for interested members of the community.

Titled “Think Before You Click: Internet Browser Security Awareness,” the program takes place at the Lady Lake Public Library‘s Room 219 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, beginning at 1 p.m. Howard Davis, the Town of Lady Lake’s IT cybersecurity expert, hosts.

This presentation is part of an ongoing effort by the town to educate its citizenry on modern digital security and help head off scams, identity theft and other rampant online security threats.

“As more daily activities move online, internet users face an increasing number of scams and security threats,” read an announcement. “During this informative session, Davis will provide practical strategies to help attendees browse the web more safely and confidently. Topics will include password management, how to identify trusted and secure websites before entering personal information, and safe browsing practices that can help reduce the risk of phishing scams, malware, identity theft, and other online threats. Whether participants use the internet for banking, shopping, social media, or everyday communication, the presentation will offer easy-to-understand tips that can help protect personal information and improve online security.”
