MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is working a vehicle crash blocking all northbound lanes on S. Pine Ave. between SE 31st St. and SE 24th Street, prompting officials to issue a traffic advisory.
The closure affects a busy stretch of one of the area’s main north-south corridors near the Racetrac gas station.
If you are traveling northbound, OPD says that you must detour at the SW 32nd Street/SE 31st Street intersection, where you can turn either east or west to navigate around the closure. Officials have not provided an estimated time for reopening the affected lanes.
You are asked to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the surrounding area during this closure. OPD recommends planning extra travel time if you are passing through this corridor during the morning commute.
Editor’s note: Traveling northbound on 441/Pine Ave., you can detour onto Lake Weir Ave. which will take you north to 31st Ave. and to 17th St.
