OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) has identified 28-year-old Mariano Raymundo of Ocala as the victim in this morning’s fatal hit-and-run. They say that he had just left Las Margaritas Restaurant & Gallery when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.
Updated, 11.20.24 at 12:08 p.m.: Early this morning, the Ocala Police Department (OPD) responded to an incident in the 4400 block of SW College Rd. after receiving a report of a person found deceased near a retention pond by the AT&T store.
Officers identified the victim as a 28-year-old man, who investigators believe was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing SR 200 northbound on an e-bike. The westbound vehicle fled the scene, and the exact time of the crash remains undetermined.
